Delayed Program Start Date

The bill permits the authority to delay the effective date of the program, in whole or in part, and for particular categories of employers, as it deems necessary to implement the bill’s provisions and minimize the disruption and burdens that may exist for any qualified employer.

The board must provide the Labor Committee with notice of any planned delay in the program no later than seven days after the decision to delay. The notice must include the purpose of the delay and the new effective date.Click here to view more Public Act 16-29 summaries.
